Types of corrective treatment

Metal braces: - Fixed metal braces consist of brackets that are cemented to the front surface of your teeth and connected by metal wires with rubber bands placed over individual brackets to hold the wire in place. This is the more traditional treatment for aligning and can be used for adults and teenagers
The time to wear these braces are influenced by several factors including degree of malocclusion , age and can be as little as 12 months to 36 months or more. Normally your dentist will advise you off this at your initial consultation.

Ceramic braces: - Ceramic braces, are also known as clear braces and consist of clear or tooth-coloured ceramic brackets attached to the surface of your teeth. They are connected with metal wires and rubber bands. As the brackets are tooth coloured aesthetically, they are more pleasing and more in demand specially among adult orthodontic patients.
Orthodontic patients generally find ceramic braces more comfortable to wear than metal ones. The high-quality materials aren't abrasive, so they won't irritate your gums or the sides of your mouth (a common complaint for metal brace wearers).

Incognito Lingual braces:- Lingual braces have the same components as conventional braces, but they’re fixed to the back of your teeth, i.e. the tongue side of the teeth. Because they’re behind your teeth, they’re nearly invisible and hence an excellent choice for people whose social or professional situation does not allow for traditional braces . They are good for severe malocclusion. Your orthodontist will tell you if you are a good candidate for lingual braces.

Invisalign:- These are a series of custom-made clear braces that cover your teeth and gently bring them into the proper position over time. They are clear and can be taken on and off and are aesthetically more pleasing. They don’t irritate the gums and it is easier to maintain oral hygiene.
Invisalign clear aligners are made from BPA-free plastic and are custom made .
Both teenagers and adults can wear Invisalign. After your initial examination and x-rays your orthodontist will tell you if Invisalign is right treatment for you or not. Treatment time is often shorter than conventional braces.
